What this site is for

This site publishes free practice questions and explanations for the written test of Japan’s foreign driver’s-license conversion (外免切替). Everything here is study and self-assessment material.

Not official, and not a guarantee

This is an independent study site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Police Agency, any prefectural police, or any government or licensing authority.

The practice questions are original, written from public traffic-law sources, and are not the official test questions. Test content, procedures and available languages differ between license centers and change over time. Answering the questions here correctly does not guarantee that you will pass the official test. Always confirm current requirements with official sources.

Not legal advice

The content of this site is general study material about road rules, not legal advice. For an authoritative reading of traffic law, or on your own eligibility to apply, consult official sources or a qualified professional.

Rights in the content

The structure, text, practice questions, explanations, translations and diagrams on this site are owned by Evelaina. Personal study use is free. The following is not permitted:

• Copying, extracting, redistributing, republishing or selling the questions, explanations, translations or diagrams.
• Automated bulk retrieval of these pages, or reuse of their content in another site, app or study product.
• Any use that breaks the law.

About the app

This site links to the store pages for the Gaimen study app. The app is covered by its own terms of service and privacy policy. It is distributed on Apple’s App Store (iPhone and iPad) and on Google Play (Android), and both the download and any in-app purchase are handled by whichever of those stores you use, under that store’s own terms.

This site is provided as is. We make a serious effort to keep the content accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is error-free, complete, or identical to the current official test. It is not a substitute for official study materials.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evelaina is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this site — including test outcomes, decisions made on the basis of its content, or any period during which the site is unavailable.
